Roles & Responsibilities

• Advertise and resource for all job transport and warehouse roles using online advertising platforms/ job boards and networking events
• Recruit new drivers for permanent roles across the group companies in the North West and build a local database of temporary drivers to support business seasonal peaks
• Conduct interviews pre-screen and fully reference check all drivers
• Liaising daily with the group companies hiring managers and manage expectations including job requirements and plan for ongoing hiring needs
• Ensure all Drivers are compliant on EU driver hours and WTD regulations by counselling and re-education on Driver Infringements and working closely with the Group Driver Trainers
• Identify possible candidates for our internal group driver enhancement and training programme to develop individual drivers from Van, Class 2 up to Class 1

Key Skills

• Strong Sales and Customer service experience within a fast moving changing environment
• Able to communicate at all levels from drivers to directors
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads which continually change
• Computer literate - outlook, excel and word
• Ability to report critical information accurately and to tight deadlines
• Ability to use a common sense approach to problem solving
• Full UK driving licence required
• Must be able to develop strong internal business relationships
• Must have a proven track record of being in a similar role or have a strong recruitment consultant background
