“Now into my sixth week, everyone has been very kind and supportive. There are lots of opportunities here, supported by a great customer base,” said Adrian.

20 years of Copack

Congratulations to Jerzy Owadowicz, Operations Director – Copack, on an incredible 20 years of service with the business.

Jerzy’s journey is a fantastic example of commitment, progression and leadership. Starting on the shop floor when the Copack business was just beginning, he has gone on to build a career across Production, Operations and General Management before stepping into his current role as Operations Director.

Reflecting on his 20-year milestone, Jerzy said: “I started my journey 20 years ago on the shop floor, when the Copack business was just beginning. I progressed through Production, Operations and General Manager roles before moving into my current position as Operations Director.

“I’ve had the privilege of seeing the business grow from the ground up, developing talented team members and building strong customer relationships along the way. It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch the operation evolve and go from strength to strength.

Thank you, Jerzy, for your dedication, leadership and outstanding contribution over the last two decades. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to seeing what comes next.

Celebrating Service, Passion & Loyalty

This year, almost 200 colleagues across Kinaxia are reaching work anniversary milestones—and we’re proud to recognise every one of them through our Loyalty Awards 🎉
At our Newcastle depot, we’re celebrating two brilliant colleagues and their incredible journeys:

Kate Brown:

Since I started at Fresh Freight almost 20 years ago, I have seen a lot of changes, a lot of people come and go.  But what is nice is that there are still a lot of those faces here, who I have worked alongside for a number of years in such a lovely environment.  I am so lucky I get to work with them on a daily basis.

It is also nice to see that we also have a lot of customers who have stayed with us on this journey and the relationships we have built with them over the years continue.

My role has changed and developed in this time, putting myself through my accountancy qualifications in my spare time which has meant I now have a greater understanding of my role and has allowed me to take on more challenges. I’m sure there will be many more challenges to come!

Andrew ( Andy) Blench :

I started working for Fresh Freight in 1986 as a Commercial vehicle fitter for the Quigley family.

Although most of my days would be based in the garage I did if needed, help out with deliveries, driving up to Scotland and all over the Country.

Both of my son’s did their fitter apprenticeships though Fresh Freight and work with me in the day to day running of the Garage.  I am very proud of them.

I have seen many changes in the past 40 years and look forward to seeing new changes ahead with the rebranding and name changes.

We’ll share more outstanding stories from colleagues celebrating service milestones regularly throughout the year!

Kinaxia Bristol Launches Drivers Forum to Enhance Team Collaboration

Kinaxia Bristol has kicked off its first team Forum, designed to make work better for everyone. These monthly get-togethers give colleagues a platform to share their thoughts, connect with colleagues, and work together as a team. The first meeting started with a friendly breakfast, setting an upbeat mood and showing just how much our colleagues are valued and demonstrating our commitment to building a positive workplace culture.

Dave McLeod and Chris Rance led the session alongside Drivers Chris Hill, Neil Smith, Curtis Phillips, Dave Thomson, Dave Richards, and Sally Fayle. We’d like to extend a big thank you to the team for taking the time to attend and share their views!

The forum is all about providing an open space to share updates, swap ideas and offer helpful feedback. Action points from these get-togethers will be carefully tracked, so everyone knows things are moving forward. This great initiative is being rolled out to all Kinaxia sites and some have already made great strides, connecting with drivers and colleagues, helping the whole organisation grow stronger together.

Kinaxia Telford – Proud to be the new kit sponsor of Newport Girls Eagles U-8s

We’re delivering the kit so this cracking team of future stars can deliver their best game!

Kinaxia Telford is proud to be the new kit sponsor of Newport Girls Eagles U-8s, helping the team transport their game to the next level.  The squad is all geared up in a striking new kit—delivering style and goals, on the pitch and the side lines (looking smart there too, coaches!)

At Kinaxia, we’re committed to supporting the communities we operate in, whether through local sponsorships or active participation in community events. We believe in giving back and helping to nurture talent and teamwork at grassroots level, ensuring a positive impact both on and off the pitch.

KLF Norfolk – Supporting & Fundraising

KLF Norfolk have been badly affected over the past few months with 6 colleagues, either being personally diagnosed, family members diagnosed or family members sadly passing all due to Cancer.

This has been a real difficult time for the Campus but, through the togetherness as one larger family, we have pulled closer together and supported each colleague and those that become affected as much as we can. I sat there one night and reflected the impact it was having on me as the RGM of the Campus and supporting from my level each of the 6 cases in different ways as they all required my support be it, an ear, financial support, time away from work, a number for families to call and talk to me in the absence of the colleague etc. I then thought, what i/we can do to support some of the local charities in the area that are common to each of the colleagues.

The decision taken giving what was being experienced and is still very much the case in Norfolk, was to support & fundraise throughout the year for the Big C Charity (very poignant). We have set ourselves a relatively low but achievable target to raise £1000 and after 2 raffles in Q1 are just short of 50% of the way there.

The stalwart that will be behind this year’s fund raising is Gordon Simmons. Sadly, Gordon’s much-loved wife lost her battle with Cancer in November 2025, so this is a very poignant charity for him personally but, the character that Gordon is, he has taken the lead on this year’s fundraising and is doing a sterling job!
